Billy G. McCarty
Billy Gene McCarty, 67, Rensselaer, formerly of Spencer, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at the Rensselaer Care Center.

Born Dec. 21, 1948, in Leavenworth, he was the son of the late Charles and Delores Abell McCarty.

He was a truck driver for Hobbes & Hall Trucking and Grace Transport.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Joseph McCarty.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, the former Cathy Ann Bottorff; five children, Billy Gene McCarty II of Clarksville, John Paul McCarty and Jason Hargen McCarty, both of Jeffersonville, Brandy Nicole Crumpton of Watertown, N.Y., and Jeremy Blake McCarty, Salem; a brother, David McCarty of Florida; three sisters, Paula Ripperdan, Janet Sillings and Teresa McCarty, all of Corydon; and three grandchildren.
