This is a good suggestion from Jim. I pasted it in here from his email so everyone could see what he suggested. It sounds like something we would want to try.

I happened today upon a school reunion website for a high school here in
Kansas. I noticed an interesting idea. They were inviting the alumni to
bring with them to their reunion activities this summer any photos,
yearbooks, memorabillia, or anything that they've turned up in their
closets and attics, and they plan to have "swap" tables available where
other folks could just help themselves to these treasures. "One man's
trash is another man's treasure" I guess. I think the point is, you may
have a picture of me in first grade that is useless to you but would be
treasured by my children or grandchildren. And I may have the same for you.

I have no idea how well this idea may work for them, or for us, but I
thought I'd suggest it. It just seemed interesting to me. Especially the
part about pictures. I know from personal experience with my Mother's
things, many of these childhood picture sessions had multiple copies of the
same photos (Maybe Butt's Drug Store was running a special on copies the
week of that particular birthday party?) Who knows; maybe someone else who
was at the party and is in the picture doesn't have a copy of it, or maybe
never even saw it before?

Just a thought.

Jim
