Dallas N. McMonigle
Died: Friday, April 17, 2009

Dallas Nyle McMonigle, 61, Mauckport, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born Feb. 2, 1948, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late George and Mary Margaret Wilburn McMonigle.

He was a retired truck driver with Keene Transport Co., was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church near Mauckport and Hobart Beach VFW Post 1693 in New Albany and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna M. Whittaker; four brothers, Paul, Carl, Raymond and George McMonigle II; and a sister, Ramona McMonigle.

Survivors include his companion, Virginia M. Dailey Simcox, and three brothers, Loren and Roger McMonigle, both of Mauckport, and Ronnie McMonigle of Corydon.

Visitation: Monday, April 20, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Monday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Mauckport.

Officiant: Pastor Betty Sieberns.

Pallbearers: Dan Turner, Jim and Travis McKim, Tom and Bob Rusk and Sonny Sparks.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
