Irvin W. Conrad, 51, Corydon died Wednesday, July 12 (2000), at Southwestern Memorial Hospital from injuries he sustained in a semi tractor accident in Weatherford, Okla.

A native of Corydon, Conrad was born Nov. 21, 1948, the son of the late Willard C. and.Pearl Bussabarger Conrad. He was a truck driver for R.B. Carriers in Jeffersonville and a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Wade Conrad. Survivors include his former wife, (the former Rita Broughton Conrad of Corydon, a daughter, Jessica M. Conrad of Corydon, a stepdaughter, Trina Morris of English, and five brothers, Harold Keith and John Conrad, both of Salem, Ill., James Conrad of Clarksville, and Kermit and David Conrad, both of Corydon.

The funeral was Saturday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Pfrimmer's Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Sandy Cooper officiated. Beth Bostock was organist. Military rites were performed at the gravesite by VFW Post 2950 in Corydon. Pallbearers were Darrell and Arthur Conrad, Carl Bussabarger, Ronald Cline, Dustin Sizemore and Harold Delaney.
