She was born in Corydon, Indiana on August 13, 1949 to Henry Walker & June Margaret Overton. Barbara was a 1967 graduate of Corydon Central High School. She married Kevin Douglas Kitterman on December 22, 1982. Barbara spent 37 years working for Daramic until the company closed the Corydon plant in July of 2020. She was the loving mother to Roger (Julie) Weathers of Lanesville, Jason (Jenny) Weathers of Corydon, and Jennifer (Matt) Morrill of Columbus, Indiana. Barbara’s greatest joy was being a Mamaw to her grandchildren, Megan (Daniel) Lytle, Spencer Weathers, Chase Weathers, Braydon (Jada) Weathers, Jacob (Allison) Shaver, Winter Shaver, Sam Morrill and Tommy Morrill. She became a great grandmother in May of 2023 to Jessica Rae Lytle and a great grandson, Beau Wayne Weathers, due in May of 2024.

Barbara and Kevin enjoyed camping over the years and could be found on the banks of the Ohio River at Horseshoe Bend Campground. In recent years, Barbara enjoyed spending time at home taking care of her cats lovingly named Mae Mae and Winty after her granddaughters. She enjoyed lunches with her high school friends and former coworkers. She loved family gatherings and watching her grandchildren grow into young adults. Her love and devotion to her family was her first priority in life and in almost every picture of her is holding one of her many grandchildren. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Barbara will be remembered for her kindness and loving heart.
